Sulton Pearsoll Jr., born on December 31, 1939, in Pamlico County, NC, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, in Knightdale, NC. He lived a life marked by dedication and service, leaving behind a legacy of love and community involvement.
Sulton proudly served in the military, receiving an Honorable Discharge that he cherished throughout his life. Following his military service, he devoted 25 years to working at the VA hospital, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of those he served. A man of many talents, Sulton was affectionately known by the nickname "Fixit," reflecting his knack for working in his beloved tool shed and his passion for gardening.
An active community member, Sulton was involved with the Lion's Club of Knightdale, served as a Boy Scout leader, and was a devoted Mason. His faith was central to his life, and he was an active member of his church, where he made meaningful contributions to his community.
Sulton had a deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren:Shantia Maliaka, and Elijah, along with ten cherished great-grandchildren.His daughters Nyree Smith &Cheryl Bryant. He found immense joy in spending time with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever. He also had a fondness for neck bones and lima beans, and enjoyed watching Westerns, which brought him comfort and entertainment.
He is survived by his siblings, Douglas Mac Pearsall Sr. (Nellie Pearsall), Mike Pearsall (Connie Pearsall), Earnest Ray Pearsall, Francis Marshall (Thurman Marshall), and Beatrice Williams, along with a host of family and friends who will deeply miss his loving nature and unwavering support.
Sulton Pearsoll Jr. will be remembered as a kind, caring individual who was always there for others, embodying the spirit of community and family. His legacy of love will continue to inspire those who knew him.
