Sue was born September 7, 1944 in Midland, Texas.
She was trained as a nurse at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta in the late 1960’s. At 21 years old she was the first nurse hired in the ER at Kennestone Hospital. She then had a long career as a pediatric nurse. In her 40’s she changed to the field of psychiatric nursing. She had a distinguished career culminating as the Director of Nurses at Inner Harbor Hospitals.
But her greatest pride and joy was her family. Her son Craig and daughter in law Stephanie and her two grandchildren meant the world to her. And in the larger Bishop family, she took her role as the Matriarch very seriously.
Sue impacted many people through her heart of service and work as a nurse. She was a true friend to many and will be missed.
