Worked at the Bulgarian Academy of Science, transferred to Colorado State University in the Physics department, later moved to the Electrical Engineering Department, worked at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies

Survived by wife Nelly, daughter Yana, son Sava, preceded in death by father Ivan Ganchev and brother Nicola Ganchev
Hobbies
Enjoyed studying many subjects, learning different languages, star-gazing, stamp and coin collecting, visiting stamp shows, taking long walks with his wife and dogs

Proud of his family, especially his children's achievements, academically and personally
