Steven Vondell Garnes, 45, passed away on January 11, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Steven was known for his big heart, love for family, and lifelong passion for sports.
A dedicated football player and true Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Steven carried his love for the game throughout his life. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time near the ocean, where he found peace and happiness.
Steven is survived by his mother, Lise Gibson; brothers Brandon Gibson and Edward Jackson Jr.; sister Ebonie Jackson; children Devon McNutt, Deshawn Garnes, and Abigail Littler; granddaughter Willow Garnes; nieces Diamonique Jackson, Trinity Brown, and Harlem Jackson; and nephews Brandon Gibson Jr. and Phoenix Jackson.
