Steven Nelson, age 40 of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2024. He leaves behind a loving family, including his brother Andrew and sisters Roselyn and Cynthia. Steven was preceded in death by his beloved parents, whose memory he cherished deeply.
As proud member of the United States Marine Corps he was born and raised in Paducah Ky. Serving two tours over seas, Steven relocated to Sioux Falls for work and was a cherished member of the community, known for his warm spirit and generous heart. His presence was a source of strength and comfort to those around him, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Steven's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his community. He was a man of integrity and kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His contributions to local initiatives and his unwavering support for community events made a lasting impact, earning him the respect and admiration of many.
A service to honor Steven's life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with cremation to follow. The service will be a time to celebrate Steven's life, sharing memories and stories that highlight the joy and love he brought into the world.
Steven's legacy of compassion and community spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, serving as a reminder of the profound impact one person can have on the lives of many.
