Steven Lynn Croft Sr., known fondly as Steve, passed away on December 8, 2024, in Hillsboro, Kansas. He was born on January 26, 1957, in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, the son of James and Patricia Croft.
A dedicated truck driver for over 30 years, spending the last almost 10 years with Mast Trucking. Steve traversed the roads with a sense of adventure, often quoting to his family "Just driving around Iowa" or " I'm somewhere between here and Iowa" as he embraced the journey of life.
Steve was married to his beloved wife, Joyce Croft, for 42 years, having tied the knot on April 16, 1982. Together, they raised six children. He took immense pride in his family
In his leisure time, Steve enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and had an appreciation for country music, with George Strait being one of his favorite artists. He was also an enthusiastic football fan, proudly supporting the Kansas City Chiefs, regardless of their ups and downs.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents James and Patricia Croft.
Steve is survived by his Wife, Joyce Croft of Durham, KS. Six children Misty Martin (James) of Wichita, KS, Shandra Johnson (Ray) of Junction City, KS, Jason Croft of Durham, KS, Steven Croft Jr. (Jalisha) of Dickinson, ND, Justin Croft (Rebecca) of Dickinson, ND, and Katelyn Seaman (Troy) of Hillsboro, KS. Ten grandchildren: Brayden Thomas, Makenzie Thomas, Riley Vielhauer, Ariana Seaman, Camdyn Hoskinson, Jeremie Seaman, Breckin Croft, Jaxon Croft, Parker Croft, and Tate Croft. Two brothers JT Croft and Karl Croft, and one sister, Susan Holmes. His legacy will live on through the love he shared with his family, who will forever cherish the memories of his warmth, humor, and unwavering support.
