He survived Holodomor (Soviet Ukraine’s Great Famine) and WWII. He was a graveyards man. He enjoyed gardening and building.

Stephan was the youngest, from a family of seven, born in 1931, in a small town of Novolabun, Ukraine. He had three brothers, Dem’yan, Semen, Ivan, and a sister Mariya.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter from his first marriage to Julia Mihailovna Yargunina-Kravchuk- Uriy, Aleksander, Nina; as well as his four sons from his second marriage to Tatyana Alekseevna Bondarenko-Kravchuk- Paul, Poytr, Ivan, Nikolay.
He lived in Berdychiv, Ukraine until migrating to America in December 1990, just months before Ukraine became its own country.
At a time of his passing, he is known to have 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Stephan will be remembered by his gardening skills, his perseverance through hardships, and his faith in the good Lord. He enjoyed the outdoors until his last days.
