Sierra Ragsdale, lovingly known as "Big Baby," passed away on June 8, 2024, in her hometown of Jackson, MS. She was born on October 8, 1988, in Jackson, MS, and spent her entire life in the same city.
Sierra's favorite hobbies included making cherished memories with her family. She found joy in preparing and savoring soul food, which delighted her taste buds. R&B music, with Mary J. Blige being her favorite artist, always touched her heart.
Sierra was a warrior, bravely navigating through life's challenges. She had an unwavering commitment to her children's happiness, and nothing brought her more joy than seeing them content. Home with her family was Sierra's favorite place in the world, where she felt most at peace.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching the TV show "Girls Trip" and cheering for her beloved football team, the Saints. Sierra, also known as "Big Baby," was a proud caregiver, dedicating herself to helping others.
She found solace in the Serenity Prayer, which guided her through life's trials. Sierra's proudest accomplishment was her children, Samiya and Rondavion, who brought immense happiness and fulfillment to her life.
Sierra was predeceased by her mother Rhonda Ragsdale, her aunts Frances Owens and Dorothy Thornton-
Sierra is survived by her older brother Jeremie,wife his children Jeramie Robinson, Shania Bennett, Amiyah Suddarth, Ronda Ragsdale, Ar'Ken Robinson, Jeramie Grayckowski, Phantasia McGee Jer'mon Robinson Taraji Robinson and her brother Rondale, and her baby sister Iesha ( her husband Kennedy) Magee and their children Charity, Keyon, Kingston, Keniya, Kendrick, Khristian, Rondarius Ragsdale, as well as her loving grandmother, Rosie Robinson.
Sierra radiated a indomitable positive attitude, sheer muck power, and unwavering patience, she handled the hard stuff well. You wanted her on your team-and there are many teams out there who will feel her absence. Sierra’s selfless nature and positive impact on others will always be remembered.
The services to honor and celebrate Sierra's life will be held on June 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home, located at 800 Monroe St., Vicksburg, MS. Sierra will be laid to rest at Vicksburg City Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Los Caporales Mexican Grill located at 114 Holiday Ln, Byram MS 39272, where friends and family can share memories and comfort one another.
The pallbearers will be Jeremie Robinson, Rondale Ragsdale, Unknown (nephew), Unknown (cousin), and Unknown (family friend). Speakers will include Pastor Robert Schuller, her friend Unknown, and lifelong friend Unknown.
May Sierra Ragsdale rest peacefully, knowing that she touched the lives of many and left behind beautiful memories. As Sierra prioritized finding joy in life and sharing it with others, the family asks that you do the same-go out and do something that brings you real joy and share it with those around you to make memories to cherish.
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by our entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make contributions to our memorial fund in lieu of flowers and contribute by sharing memories of our beloved Sierra and sending donations to the cash apps on her Facebook page
