Shy Wallace, a beloved educator and cherished member of her community, passed away on October 10, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in Tucson, Arizona, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her wisdom, strength, and unwavering dedication to others.

A lifelong teacher, Shy Wallace devoted her career to education — not just in the classroom, but in every interaction she had. She believed deeply in the power of knowledge, compassion, and patience. Her impact reached far beyond textbooks, as she inspired countless students and colleagues with her gentle guidance and firm belief in their potential.

Shy is survived by a loving and extended family: Shy Singh, Chanel Johnson, Akira Wilson, Dalon Yeats, Desmond Johnson, Paris Johnson, and Patrick Johnson. Each of them carries forward her legacy of kindness, resilience, and commitment to growth.

Shy Wallace will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous spirit, and her ability to make people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her influence lives on in the lives she shaped and the lessons she shared.

A private family service will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local education fund or literacy program in Shy's memory.
