Shirley I. Neeb, lovingly known as Granny, passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born on July 20, 1933, in Schnecksville, PA. Shirley spent most of her life in Reading, PA, where she had a fulfilling career as a hairstylist for over 40 years.
Shirley's favorite hobbies included counter cross stitch, fishing, and taking care of her loved ones. She had a special fondness for Elvis, and his music brought her great joy throughout her life. Shirley loved nothing more than traveling around with her late spouse, Patrick (Moos) Alfiero, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Delaware held a special place in Shirley's heart, and she recently had the opportunity to visit Greece, Italy and Croatia, a trip that brought her immense happiness. She was a devoted sister to Alice W. Cahn, wife of Edward Cahn, and was predeceased by her parents, Warren T. Wotring and Ida Wotring (Derhammer), as well as her brother, Warren T. Wotring Jr.
Shirley will be deeply missed by her children, Cora E.K. Boyer and Laurel W. Iannelli, wife of Todd Iannelli. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tiffany K. Mosser and Thomas K. Boyer, partner of Staci Woyton, Amy Iannelli, as well as her great grandchildren, Kenneth Boyer, partner of Jessica Weitzel, Payton J. Boyer, and Miles K. Boyer. Additionally, Shirley leaves behind three great- great grandchildren, Christina, Logan, and Weston.
Remembered as a loving and caring grandmother, Shirley Neeb will be forever cherished by all who knew her. Her kindness and willingness to do anything for her family will be greatly missed.
