Shawn Tyler Orman, known to many as Ace or Spade, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2024, at the age of 32. He was born on February 16, 1992, in Syracuse, NY, and most recently resided in Willow Spring, NC, which he considered his favorite place in the world.
Shawn had a passion for working on vehicles, trading Matchbox cars, fishing, hunting, and collecting knives. He loved nothing more than his beloved 1985 Mustang, which he cherished and cared for with great pride. Shawn had a fondness for gadget things to wear on his belt and could often be seen sporting his cowboy hat and boots.
In addition to his hobbies, Shawn enjoyed some of life's simple pleasures. He relished mashed potatoes, biscuits & gravy, green beans, seafood, and a good cup of coffee. His taste in music ranged from Johnny Cash to alternative and country.
Shawn found joy in watching the TV show Forged in Fire, and he had a deep appreciation for movies such as Batman, Star Wars, and Forrest Gump. He was always excited to discuss these interests with anyone who would listen.
He is survived by his mother Joy Richardson Kidder, father Dwight Orman, step-father Michael Kidder, step-brothers Jacob, Logan, and Evan Kidder, grandmother June Pitsley, grandmother Leslie Orman, and step-grandmother Jeanne Kidder as well as several cousins, aunts, and uncles who will miss him dearly.
Shawn will be remembered for his enthusiasm when sharing about the things he loved. His favorite quote, "This that & the third," encapsulated his vibrant personality and zest for life.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the memories of his favorite hobbies, his cherished 1985 Mustang, and the love of his family and friends.
We will celebrate Shawn on at 4-6pm and have a service at 6pm. Please donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation https://www.breakthrought1d.org/
