Shawn Burton, 89, of Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully on March 6, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and dedication to his community.

Born to Chandler Burton and Pearl Burton, Shawn was raised with strong values that guided him throughout his life. Known for his determination and entrepreneurial spirit, he became a proud restaurant owner, creating a place where people could gather, enjoy good food, and feel at home. His work reflected his commitment to providing not only for his family but also for the community around him.

Outside of his business, Shawn appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing dominoes, sharing laughs, and spending time relaxing with family. Whether it was telling stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Shawn’s presence always brought warmth and comfort to those around him.

Shawn was the beloved husband of Dorel Marsh. He was also a devoted father to his sons, Josh Burton and Eric Burton. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Dante Burton, Damair Burton, Dakarai Burton, Akeem Burton, and Eric Burton Jr., who will carry forward the memories and lessons he shared with them.
