Shawn Blair Olsen, born on January 26, 1962, in Ogden, Utah, passed away on August 3, 2024. An exceptional chef, Shawn dedicated his life to the culinary arts after studying in San Francisco, California. He owned several restaurants where he shared his passion for cooking, delighting many with his remarkable skills in the kitchen.

Shawn was not only known for his culinary talents but also for his profound love of music. He had an impressive ability to recognize every artist behind a song and enjoyed all genres of music. His family and friends often marveled at his knowledge and enthusiasm for melodies.

Family was paramount in Shawn's life. He cherished the time spent with his parents, Donny and Judy Olsen, and showed unwavering love and compassion in caring for them. Growing up alongside his Brother Eddie and close "brothers," Stan Valdez, Ed Valdez, and Diego Vigil, he formed bonds that lasted a lifetime. Shawn's pride and joy were evident in his role as a father to his Son, Clair Bear Robert Olsen, born on September 8, 1980.

Shawn's love extended to his beloved dogs, Herman and Monkey, who were treated like children. He found solace and happiness in natural, calm surroundings, where he could relax and enjoy the beauty of life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donny and Judy Olsen, his brother Eddie Olsen, his son Clair Olsen, and his niece Lindsay. He is survived by his niece Mollie (Bryan) Browning and nephew Donnie (Monica) Olsen, who will carry forward his legacy of love and passion.
