She was a native of Woodstock, Alabama and a graduate of Bibb County Training School and Tuskegee Institute. Shauntae taught Home Economics in Buffalo Public Schools and united with St. Philip's Episcopal Church. She had a heart for serving people and sharing her skills with others. She was a caregiver who loved to cook, garden, sing, play games and sew. Upon returning to Bibb County, Shauntae promoted unity with senior citizens and her quilting club. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. George W. and Emma Hill Coleman and a sister, Wilma B. Coleman. Her Husband Kasey Smith and kids Ardes Smith, Shuntarius Smith and Cameron Smith. Her extended family includes Eleanor and Andrea Howard and numerous cousins.
