Obituary

Shartion CAWANTHA White, lovingly known as Sharon, peacefully passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 62. She was born on October 9, 1961, in Knoxville, TN, and most recently resided in Baltimore, MD.

Sharon had a vibrant personality and enjoyed various hobbies, including playing Scratchoffs and watching beloved TV shows like Scooby-Doo, SpongeBob, and Family Feud. She had a deep appreciation for gospel music and found solace in its melodies.

Sharon's favorite foods included spaghetti and mac and cheese, and she cherished moments spent with her husband, Wayne White. She found great joy in their companionship.

Sharon was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Mildred Newton, Shiran Johnson, and Pandora Newton. Her family extended to include her grandchildren, Devante Carter, Micheal Williams, and Jeremiah Douglas, as well as her great-granddaughter, Kayla Carter.

Faith played a significant role in Sharon's life, and she faithfully attended MT Olive Freewill Baptist Church. Even when she couldn't make it to her church home, she would join her sister and Christ Miss Edith at their church services. Sharon's favorite motto was "Pray about it," reflecting her strong spiritual beliefs.

Sharon's proudest accomplishments were her marriage to Wayne in 1990 and the loving family they built together. She was a caring and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Sharon will be remembered for her godly nature, her infectious happiness, and her kind and funny personality. She had a profound impact on the lives of those around her simply by being a part of it.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Wayne A White, her three daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and her mother, Hawatha Newton. She was predeceased by her father and two other siblings. Her wish was that Bishop Brown do her serve and Lady Brown sing her favorite song, I'm going up thee Yonder.

Her absence will be deeply felt, but her memory and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
