Sharon Elizabeth Tawney (Burke) born on May 24, 1964, in Teaneck, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Sharon was a beloved mother, nana, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.

She is survived by her children, Andrew Tawney (Mellissa) of Yakima, Washington, Sara Hansen (Eric) of Land o Lakes, Florida, and April Tawney of San Antonio, Texas. Brothers Patrick and Tom Burke.

Sharon was a loving nana to her nine grandchildren: Madyssn, Alexys, Jack, Delaney, Logan, Amelia, Hunter, Riley, and Austin. Her greatest joy in life was being a “Nana” to her grandbabies, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, sister Cathy, and her son, Jason Tawney. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever remember her as a beacon of love and joy.

Rest in peace, Sharon. Your love and light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
