Sharon Elizabeth Peterson, born on December 2, 1948, in Freeport, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, in Danbury, Texas. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Sharon was married to Robert "Butch" Peterson on February 9, 1975, sharing a loving partnership that spanned nearly five decades.
Sharon was a vibrant soul with a passion for life. She enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including music, art, drawing, painting, cooking, travel, crafting, gem collecting, gardening, and jewelry making. An animal lover at heart, she found joy in the company of her pets and often shared her creative talents with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, John Peterson, and her cherished grandchildren: Nathan Stanislaw, Ian Stanislaw and his wife Zoey, and Griffen Stanislaw. Sharon also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Sunny Stanislaw, Charles Stanislaw, and Colton Stanislaw.
Sharon was deeply loved by her sisters, Joan Derrick and husband David, Bridget Amos and husband Andy, and Molly Mitchell and husband Mitch. Her strong faith as a Roman Catholic and her role as a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church were central to her life and provided her with comfort and community.
Sharon's warm spirit and creativity will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
