Shane passed away peacefully and succumbed to Lewy Body Dementia on August 20, 2024. His journey started with colon cancer in November 2022 with a full recovery. We started our celebration in November 2023, but it was short lived to face another battle only to discover that he wouldn’t be getting a 100% cured score for Lewy Body Dementia. 

While my heart mourns his loss, I take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering from this horrible disease. My hope is that Shane’s donation will help to find a cure for Lewy Body Dementia.

He was survived by me Rebecca “Becki” Smith his wife of 18 ½ years and his stepson T.J. Barrow; who he loved dearly as his own.  He was preceded in death by his father Douglas English, mother Elizabeth English and sister Marsha English

I thank all of the friends and family for all the prayers and support we received for the last 629 days. Shane’s celebration of life will be at a later date.  His ashes will be placed in some of his favorite places.  If I only could send them off at 100 mph on an Eliminator boat with a huge rooster tail. He sure did love anything to do with water.  But here’s to godspeed Shane because if there’s a fast boat in heaven you’ve found it.
