Loved all sports, but baseball was always his favorite
Seth Michael Edwards, born on September 27, 1980, in Lebanon, PA, passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2024, in Phoenixville, PA. He is survived by his loving wife, Abby J. Mazzie, whom he married on November 23, 2013, and their two cherished children, Jameson M. Edwards, age 8, and Madison M. Edwards, age 6.
Seth was a dedicated family man who excelled in his professional life as a Director at Protivity Global, where he spent over 20 years in consulting within the Internal Auditing & Financial Advisory practice in Philadelphia. He earned his CPA Certification in January 2008 and became certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) in January 2012. Seth was also an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Philadelphia Chapter, serving as former Treasurer and a current Chapter Board Member.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Seth loved all sports, with baseball holding a special place in his heart. He was especially proud of his role as a coach for the Upper Providence Huskies baseball team, where he inspired young athletes to pursue their passion for the game. A 1998 graduate of Cedar Crest High School, he was a member of the National Honor Society and a three-year starting catcher on the baseball team that advanced to the Pennsylvania State Semi-Finals.
Seth continued his education at the University of Richmond's Robins School of Business before transferring to Drexel University's Lebow College of Business, graduating in 2003. He was deeply connected to his family and is survived by his parents, Jeff and Kathy Edwards of Lebanon, PA, his sister Erin E. Edwards, Aunts and Uncles: Sharon & Edward Greenebaum, Sue & Harry Fox, and Thomas & Diane Kilmoyer, as well as his cousins Rebekah and Adam Greenebaum(spouse Lindsey Greenebaum), Tim Fox(spouse Lisa Fox), and Kevin Fox(spouse Samantha Fox) and sister-in-law Megan Fitzpatrick(spouse Kevin Fitzpatrick). He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Susan Mazzie.
Seth's warmth, dedication, and love for his family and community will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
