sdqerger rthsrbad, affectionately known as Momma Rhodes, passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on February 5, 1966, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she spent her final years in Dallas, Texas, where she was a beloved figure in her community.
A dedicated hotel receptionist, sdqerger was known for her warm smile and unwavering kindness. Her true passions lay in cooking and sewing, with a particular love for soul food and seafood that she often shared with family and friends. sdqerger had a heart for others, having spent countless hours feeding the homeless and giving back to her community, making a lasting impact on those she encountered.
Family was at the core of sdqerger's life; she is survived by her loving husband, J.R. Rhodes, and her children, Betty, Linda, Susie, Sandra, and David Jelks, as well as a host of grandchildren who adored her. She was known for her outspoken and free-hearted nature, and her favorite saying, "As long as I got King Jesus," reflected her deep faith.
In her free time, sdqerger enjoyed watching old westerns and soap operas, and her love for the blues was evident in the music that filled her home. She was a passionate football and basketball fan, always cheering on her favorite teams.
A volunteer at her church, sdqerger’s commitment to spreading the word of God inspired many around her.
