Sandy had a vibrant spirit and a passion for life, which was evident in her favorite pastimes, including playing Bingo, trying her luck with the lottery, and indulging in crafting. She had a particular fondness for Conn's Potato Chips, Donatos Pizza, and no-bake cookies, treats that brought her joy. Sandy cherished her family deeply, often spending hours on the phone staying connected with her loved ones.
Throughout her career, she made significant contributions while working at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Sandy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Warren "Butch" Conrad, and later by Dan Lovelace. She also mourned the loss of her sons, Michael Conrad and Ricky Mayes, as well as one Granddaughter Storie Braglin, sister-in-law Jeanette Santee, her sister Wanda Zapp and brothers Ronald, Dorsel Jr., and Charles Santee. She is also predeceased by her loving parents Dorsel Sr. and Ruby Santee.
Sandy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Beth(Todd) Conrad, and her son, David(Jennifer) Conrad Sr, along with her cherished grandchildren: Tia(Anthony) Yeager, Brooke Conrad, Carl(Robin) Braglin, Jeffrey(Courtney) Braglin, Brandi Yoho, David(Trinity) Conrad Jr., Elizabeth(Shea) Conrad, and Michelle Conrad. She is also survived by her brothers CJ and Bobby (Rita) Santee, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly. Sandy's warmth, love, and laughter will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
She will be cremated in Georgia and sent to Beth Conrad. There are no services planned at this time.
