Sarah G. Dismuke-Williams, affectionately known as "Nean," passed away on August 15, 2024, in her hometown of Columbus, MS. Born on July 13, 1962, she dedicated her life to serving her community and nurturing the next generation.
Sarah was proud to be the Owner and Operator of Sandcastle Learning Center from 1996 to 2006, where she made a lasting impact on countless children and families. Her commitment to education and caring for young minds was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Most recently, she worked as a Kitchen Supervisor, a role in which her passion for cooking truly shone.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Richard Williams, and her two daughters, Kristie Selvie and Chiquita Smith, both of Columbus, MS. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who cherished spending time with her grandsons, enjoying cooking, fellowshipping, and watching sports together.
A proud graduate of Caldwell School’s Class of 1981, Sarah contributed to her community not only through her professional endeavors but also as an active member of Zion Gate M.B. Church and through her involvement in Community Counseling.
Sarah will be remembered for her warmth, her culinary skills, and her unwavering dedication to her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.
