Sandra Kay Roberts, lovingly known as Sandi, passed away peacefully at Lightway Hospice and serious illness center on June 12, 2024, in Joliet, IL, at the age of 62 with her daughter Leann by her side. She was born on July 28, 1961, and was the daughter of the late Luella (Lu) Lee and the late Max Roberts.

Sandi was a dedicated waitress, pouring her heart and soul into her work. However, her proudest accomplishment was her unwavering love and devotion to her family. She cherished her role as a mother to her daughters, Keishia Roberts and Leann Cronan. Sandi also found immense joy in being a grandmother to Daniel Turner, Chasity (Turner) Lamb, Angel Porter, Jasmine Porter, Leland Aguilar, and Merechio Aguilar. Her great-grandchildren, Amara Porter, Sirayh Parks, Atticus Lamb, Danyelle, and the unborn great-grandson she never got to meet, held a special place in her heart.

Sandi is survived by her sister, Connie Rice, and stepfather, Larry Lee. She was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Cronan, sister, Cindy Black, nephew, John Roberts, and nephews Ricky Black and Eric Roberts, along with many other relatives who have departed before her.

Sandi will be remembered for her love of all holidays, particularly Christmas. Her infectious spirit and warm personality touched the lives of those around her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
