Sandra Jean Jacobs (Cena), born on November 10, 1942, in West Frankfort, IL, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Gilbert, AZ. A proud graduate of West Frankfort High School, Class of 1960, Sandra dedicated over 20 years of her life to the Daily American Newspaper, where she made many lasting friendships.

Sandra was married to her beloved husband, James Jacobs, for over 60 years until his passing. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Eric Jacobs and Tina Stytz (Jacobs), who were a source of great joy for her. Sandra cherished her role as a grandmother to her grandsons, Quintin Jacob Stytz and Cooper Aaren Stytz, who brought light to her life.

Known for her quiet demeanor, Sandra was always supportive and present, especially alongside her talkative husband, who often engaged everyone around them. She was an active member of the Navy Wives Club during James's service in the US Navy, a role that allowed her to travel and build a loving family.

Sandra is survived by her children, grandchildren, and a host of friends and family who will remember her gentle spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wounded Warriors in her name, honoring her compassion for others.
