Sandra Darlene Jackson, born on March 29, 1955, in Newport News, Virginia, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Hampton, Virginia at the age of 69. She completed her graduate at Virginia State and a proud graduate of Hampton University, earning her Master’s Degree and was a dedicated member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. Predeceased by her mother Alethia W. Mason and brother Melvin D. Whitaker.

Sandra was known for her love of puzzles and sewing, often using her skills to bring joy to those around her, even if it meant getting on their nerves from time to time. She was a proud mother to James Jackson, her eldest, and Jamel Jackson her baby, both of whom brought immense joy to her life. A true connoisseur of Chinese food, she found delight in sharing meals and laughter with her loved ones.

She is survived by her brother, Tyrone E. Perry, and her two sisters, Paulette L. Nash and Darlene A. Knox (William). Sandra had a special bond with her family, and they will forever cherish the memories of her playful spirit and her unwavering ability to bring a smile to their faces, even when she was intent on making Leroy's life a little more challenging.
