Samuel loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren. He would save all his snacks that he received from the assistance living place he lived at. I mean all the Snacks from breakfast, lunch and dinner. When our son would go with his dad to visit his grandpa he always had a Big bag of snacks he saved for his grandson Samarius Achillies Malone everytime he would visit him!! My baby has never cried losing a loved one until he lost his grandpa Big Sam!! 🥹🤞😢🙏🙌💕✨️

Obituary: Samuel Malone Aka BIG Sam, Aka Jack Jones!!

Samuel Malone, affectionately known to all as "Big Sam," a pillar in the community and a devoted family man, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, impact, and unwavering dedication.

Big Sam was a man of great character, known as Jack Jones!! He was recognized for his infectious storytelling and playful humor. He loved to share jokes and even created his own rendition of "The Three Little Pigs," featuring the memorable "Chinney Chew Chin" as the Big Bad Wolf. His personal motto, "Only the strong survive," reflected his resilient spirit and enduring outlook on life.

A Career Dedicated to Changing Lives

For 27 years, Big Sam dedicated his professional life to the group home industry, serving as a Group Home Coordinator and supervisor. His tireless efforts in caring for the children in these homes changed countless lives, a testament to his compassionate nature and commitment to helping others. In addition to his work in group homes, he also served as a Teacher's Aide at Metro Tech, further extending his positive influence within the community. He was truly a superhero in the eyes of many.

Family and Relationships

Big Sam was a man who embraced love and family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Janice Malone, who passed away on October 30, 2022, and his first love and first wife Rosheta Pearsall-Scott, who passed away on July 21, 2023.

He was a cherished father to his three biological children, Samuel David Allen Malone, the late Dominique Denise Malone, and Cashea Renee Rolonda Malone. He also embraced his step-children, Ben Watkins, Bradley Watkins, and Andrea Watkins, as his own. Big Sam was a loving father-in-law to Sarah Leeanne Malone. His joy was multiplied by his 18 biological grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense happiness to his life.

Big Sam is survived by his devoted sister, Mae Graham, and her husband, Herb Graham. He also leaves behind his nieces, Latoya Moore, Shenikwa Malone, Darlisa Malone, Benita Malone, and Kim Malone, along with a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Faith and Community

A devout Baptist, Samuel Malone believed deeply in the Lord and Savior, and his faith was a guiding light throughout his life. His community involvement extended beyond his professional roles; he was a leader and a beacon of hope, always striving to make a positive impact.

Big Sam's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched, the stories he told, and the love he shared. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
