A devoted family man, Samson is survived by his beloved wife, Navy Walker, sisters Elizabeth, Ellene, Mattie, and Mary, daughter Janis Fareira, son Jason Walker, and stepdaughters Sophia, Maria, and Christine.
Samson proudly served in the Air Force and later enjoyed a successful career as a quality control supervisor for an auto parts manufacturer. After retirement, he became an ordained minister and assistant pastor at Beacon of Hope, where he led a weekly Bible study and taught Sunday school. Known affectionately as "Mr. Sam," he had an open-door policy, welcoming family and friends to his home without judgment. His generosity and caring nature left a lasting impact on the lives of those around him.
An avid lover of worship music, Samson found joy in praying, sharing the word of God, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was particularly fond of his grandsons, often cutting their hair and teaching them life lessons. His culinary talents shone through in his favorite dishes, especially his fried fish and homemade sweet potato pie.
In his younger years, Samson was passionate about sports, playing basketball and running track in high school. He enjoyed watching old Westerns like Gunsmoke, bringing laughter and warmth to his family gatherings. His favorite saying, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart," reflects the deep faith that guided his life.
Samson's proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren, whom he spoke of often with immense pride. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, loving nature, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
