Russell Evan Thomas, known lovingly as Dad, and Papa, passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on September 16, 1935, in California, he spent his final years in Shingle Springs, CA.

Russell dedicated a significant part of his life to serving in the Army, after which he retired from his career at Folsom Dam. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Adela Thomas, and took great pride in his roles as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His children, Bob, Kim, Jesse, and Gina, along with his grandchildren Ron, Rusty, Jared, Mercedes, Stefan, and Taylor, and great-grandchildren Andrew, Caitlin, Miles, and Eleanor, were the joys of his life.

A man of deep faith, Russ embraced the Lord’s Prayer as a guiding force in his life. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and loving nature, always going above and beyond for his family. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him.
