Russell Eugene Snelson, affectionately known as Rusty, passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on December 8, 1957, in Richmond, VA, and had recently been residing in Winchester, VA.

Russell was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed sports and anything outdoors, finding solace in nature's embrace. His favorite meal consisted of a juicy steak and a perfectly baked potato. When it came to music, Russell had a soft spot for anything country, as it resonated deep within his soul.

A Jack of all trades, Russell was known for his resourcefulness and adaptability. He approached life with a lighthearted spirit and a playful sense of humor, always ready to make others smile. His true joy in life came from his children and grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally.

Russell had a successful career in construction, showcasing his dedication and skill in every project he undertook. He was married to Christina Smith, and together they shared a beautiful journey filled with love and cherished memories.

In addition to his beloved wife, Russell is survived by his adoring mother, Bobbie Ann Snelson, and his brothers, Arnold and Donnie. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ross Myers, who he held dear in his heart.
