Ruben Flores, affectionately known as "Big Happy," was born on March 5, 1982, in Gardena, CA. He was the first child of 3 to Rogelio and Yolanda Flores. They lived in Inglewood, CA in 1980s and later on moved to Bloomington in the 90s.

Ruben is survived by his parents, Yolanda and Rogelio Flores, and his two siblings, Giselle and Claudia Flores, also his wife Malinda Bonte with their 3 children Leeno, Gabriel and Victoria Bonte Flores. He was known for his infectious smile and a unique ability to bring laughter to those around him, often playfully teasing friends and family always a jokester, that guy.

At a young age Ruben had a love for baseball joined a little league team “the Inglewood Padres” (mind you he hated the Padres) and even went to his first dodger game in 1986 to see Valenzuela play. He was a good kid until the teenage years hit if you knew Ruben you knew he was a bad ass, this huge mean looking guy, but if you always knew him he was always there and caring. Ruben grew up to what we can say not an easy life he had his ups and he definitely has downs but no matter what Big Happy always had a smile on his face.

Ruben was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle, godfather and homie. His vibrant personality and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
