Roy Wayne Bentle, known affectionately as Roy "Bud," was born on January 8, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on October 29, 2024, in Richardson, Texas. A devoted family man and beloved member of his community, Roy lived a life filled with passion, kindness, and dedication.

From a young age, Roy developed a knack for craftsmanship, learning to build and repair cars, which became one of his many cherished hobbies. Saturdays were a special ritual for him, always reserved for washing his trusty F-150. Roy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when sharing a plate of Tex-Mex and a cold beer with friends and family. He was a master conversationalist, always ready to lend an ear or share a laugh, often with his favorite saying, "Do you want a knuckle sandwich?!"

Roy proudly served in the military and dedicated over 40 years to Texas Instruments, where he made numerous contributions. His leadership extended beyond his career; he served as the mayor of Murphy, Texas, for four years, a role that allowed him to give back to the community he loved. He was known for his integrity and genuine care for others, embodying the qualities of a true and honest man.

Survived by his middle brother, Sam Bentle, and younger brother, Steve Bentle, Roy leaves behind two sons, Timothy Wayne Bentle and Matthew Bentle. He was also a cherished grandfather to Katie, Sarah Madison, and Andrea, all of whom considered him a father figure. Roy's legacy is one of compassion, unwavering love, and a commitment to making the world a better place.

A Christian at heart, Roy's life was a testament to kindness and generosity, making him one of the most loving individuals to walk this earth. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, as he touched countless lives through his warmth and spirit.
