Roy Clifford Cook II, affectionately known as "Hoo-rah," passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 45. He was born in Charleston, WV, on July 17, 1978, and most recently resided in St Albans, WV.

Roy's love for his family, especially his son Zach and grandson Oaklee, and his mother Marilyn, was unmatched. As a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he never missed cheering on his favorite team. Roy was a proud member of the Carpenter Painter Union, where he worked throughout his career.

However, Roy's proudest achievement was becoming a Paw Paw to his beloved grandchildren, Zachary Meadows, Oaklee Blake Meadows, Asher Wayne Meadows, and Evelyn Grace Meadows. He cherished their presence in his life and took immense pride in being their Paw Paw.

Roy was survived by his mother, Marilyn Hamrick Cook, and his sister, Jennifer Lynn Cook. He was preceded in death by his father, Timmie Woodrow Cook, and his brother, Brian Kieth Cook, as well as his nephew, Brian Kieth Cook Jr., and grandmother, Latefia Hamrick.

Roy will always be remembered for his unique and unforgettable personality. He was funny, loud, and simply awesome to be around. Those who knew him can attest that he was the first to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

In honor of Roy's memory, his family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and the impact he had on their lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched.
