Rosemary Stingone Skiner, born on March 14, 1955, in Yonkers, NY, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Franklin, NC. She was the cherished daughter of Anthony Stingone and Marion Peragine and a beloved sister to Anthony, Robert (Maureen), and Michael (Tammy) Stingone.
Rosemary was the proud mother of two children, son Michael Ward (Christy) and daughter Nicole Shawger (Curtis). She found great joy in her role as a grandmother to Michelle Ward, Aaron Shawger, and Allison Shawger, often expressing how proud she was of each of them.
Professionally, Rosemary was a dedicated Registered Nurse, earning her master's degree in nursing education. She not only provided compassionate care as a case manager at Angel Medical Center but also shaped the next generation of healthcare professionals by teaching Certified Nursing Assistants and RNs. Her contributions to the field were significant and deeply appreciated.
Known affectionately as "Ro," she had a unique ability to light up any room she entered. Her infectious laughter, warm smile, and huge heart meant that she never met a stranger. Rosemary was always willing to help anyone in need, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
In her free time, Rosemary enjoyed creating resin jewelry and trinkets, incorporating meaningful elements such as cremains, hair, and even preserved breast milk. She was also a passionate fan of Miami Dolphins football, sharing her love for the sport with friends and family.
Rosemary's spirit was anchored in her Catholic faith, which guided her throughout her life. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, for to know Rosemary was truly to love her. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
