St. Louis, MO - Rose Matha, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 16, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born on April 8, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, where she spent her entire life.
Rose, known for her vibrant spirit and joyful personality, had a variety of interests and hobbies. She loved spending her free time solving crossword puzzles and watching her favorite cowboy western movies. Rose was also a food enthusiast who indulged in Chinese cuisine, ribs, and the famous Rally's fries. She particularly enjoyed sipping margaritas and savored the flavor of Odouls non-alcoholic beer.
Nothing brought Rose more joy than gathering with her family and friends, reminiscing about the good old days, and sharing delicious food and heartfelt conversations. Her home was her sanctuary, and she cherished every moment spent there.
Rose's proudest accomplishment was raising her beloved twins, Glen and Glenda. As a dedicated secretary, she worked diligently to provide for her family and create a nurturing environment for her children. Rose's life motto, "If God is willing," guided her through both the ups and downs.
Rose was happily married to Raymond Matha, and they shared a deep love and companionship that lasted a lifetime.
She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Rose Matha's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Rose's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in her name.
