OBITUARY

Rose Young, age 80, of Baltimore, Maryland, peacefully departed this life on June 18, 2026.

Born on April 6, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, Rose was the beloved daughter of Bernetta Young and Ernest Young. Throughout her life, she exemplified kindness, compassion, and a free spirit that brought comfort and joy to all who knew her.

Rose dedicated her professional life to serving others as a nurse at the University of Maryland. She approached her work with grace, empathy, and a genuine desire to help those in need. Her caring nature extended beyond her profession and touched countless lives within her family, community, and circle of friends.

An artist at heart, Rose found beauty in creativity and self-expression. She also had a special gift for bringing people together through cooking and fellowship. Whether preparing a family meal, offering words of encouragement, or simply sharing her time with others, Rose made everyone feel welcomed and valued.

She believed deeply in the importance of love, family, and community. Her generous spirit, warm smile, and unwavering support will remain treasured memories for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory her beloved loved ones, Jennette Pollard and Teressa Young, along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by Terrell Harris, Bernadette Green, and Evelyn Pond.

Rose's legacy of compassion, service, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
