Rory B. Brabham, born at Monmouth Medical Center on February 19, 1960, in Long Branch, NJ, passed away on September 12, 2024, in New Brunswick, NJ. Known affectionately as "Snake," Rory was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend whose infectious laughter brought joy to those around him.
Rory dedicated his life to his work as a roll-off truck driver, a profession that allowed him to traverse the roads he loved while connecting with many people along the way. His passion for building monster trucks and racing cars reflected his adventurous spirit and creativity. A unique character, Rory was often seen walking through town with snakes draped over his shoulder, a testament to his love for these fascinating creatures.
He cherished the simple joys in life, including his favorite horror movies and the thrill of numbers. Rory enjoyed telling jokes and sharing prayer. He had a remarkable knack for remembering everyone's birthdays, going out of his way to call and celebrate them on their special days—a gesture that deeply touched countless lives.
Rory is survived by his daughter, Stacey Rodriguez, and his four cherished grandchildren: Destiny Bruno, Roberto Rodriguez, Anjoulie Rodriguez, and Raphael Rodriguez. He also leaves behind his brothers, Herman "Burpy" Brabham and Clyde Harper, as well as his niece Tabatha, nephews Daryl and Troy, and cousins Melody Alderman and Patricia Thomas. Others that shared his life include Kebin Brown, Julius Hall, and Shiela Strong.
A devoted Baptist, Rory's life was characterized by his love for family, friends, and the little moments that made each day special. He will be remembered for his amazing laughter and the impact he had on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
