Ronnie Montoya, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024, at the age of 59. A man of unwavering dedication and love, Ronnie was known for his hard work, warm heart, and the strong bonds he forged with family and friends.
Born on March 3, 1965, in Albuquerque, Ronnie found his calling as a welder, a craft that he pursued with pride and precision for over three decades. His work was more than just a job; it was an expression of his commitment to providing for his family and contributing to his community. He built more than just structures—he built relationships, sharing his skills and passion with anyone willing to learn.
Ronnie was a family man in every sense of the word. He shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Maria Montoya, and together they raised three wonderful children: Lucas, Elena, and Sofia. He was also a devoted son and brother, always ready with a helping hand or a kind word. As an uncle, he brought joy and laughter to his nieces and nephews, who cherished their time with "Uncle Ronnie."
Ronnie's favorite quote was, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." These words perfectly capture the essence of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
His impact on his family and the community was profound. Ronnie's kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether it was through his work, his family, or his friendships, Ronnie Montoya touched lives in ways that will never be forgotten.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Maria; his children, Lucas, Elena, and Sofia; his siblings, Jose, Ariel and Sabrina; and a large extended family. Though he is no longer with us, Ronnie's spirit lives on in the love and memories he leaves behind.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Maria, a cause close to Ronnie’s heart.
Rest in peace, Ronnie. Your love and legacy will continue to inspire us all.
We'll plant real trees for you in Ronnie's memory and display your contribution forever.
