Ronnie Marcus Jones, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on December 19, 1947, in Stamford, Texas, Ronnie spent his final years in Denton, Texas, where he was cherished by family and friends alike.
Known affectionately as Coach Jones, Ronnie was a man who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He had a unique talent for turning everyday moments into games, ensuring that there was never a dull moment in his presence. His passions included coaching his grandsons, playing golf, fishing, and spending cherished time at their beloved lake cabin in Graham.
Ronnie's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family, and he loved nothing more than being with his loved ones, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. His spirited approach to life was encapsulated in his favorite saying, “Having fun hurts sometimes,” which reflected his belief that joy often comes with challenges.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Anne, his son Marcus and his wife Robin, and his daughter Leanne Rozell and her husband Zach. And known by the name Pops to his six grandsons:

Husband, Father, Coach, Friend were all titles used for this man but he would say his most important title was Child of God. Ronnie was a firm believer in Jesus Christ, as his personal Savior and shared his faith with all those who crossed his path.
Ronnie made everyone feel welcomed and valued, leaving a lasting impact and his legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
