Obituary

Ronnie Lee Cooper, 66, of East End was born on January 30, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on January 21, 2025 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.

A hard working truck driver, Ronnie was known for his stubbornness and offbeat sense of humor. While he could be hard headed, he was also kind hearted. He liked working in his yard as well as hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed engaging in lively discussions about politics and current events, often delighting in getting a rise out of those around him. Ronnie loved to talk and anyone who crossed his path could expect a playful quip—often accompanied by his favorite sayings, "hey easy money" or "must be nice". His quirky spirit left a lasting impression, ensuring he was not easily forgotten. He was a hardcore Republican with a strong admiration for Donald Trump, firmly standing by his beliefs. In addition to eating a home-cooked meal, especially meatloaf or fried chicken, Ronnie enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows including "Cops", Fox News, or any mafia documentary. Very little made him happier though, than spending time with his two beloved dogs, Merry and Gary.

Ronnie took great pride in his family, particularly in his daughter he lovingly called "Randy Snell" and grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. Although married to their mother later in life, he tried to be a positive and supportive role model to both of his step-daughters.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Robin; parents Rosie McManus and Ledrew Davis; brothers Ricky and Terry Cooper; niece Christy Cooper. He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Mosley (Cle) of Alexander; step-daughters Cailee White (Benji) of East End and Shana Birdwell of Blytheville; brother Jerry Cooper (Kelly) of El Paso; mother-in-law Ollie McGill of Jefferson; brother and sister-in-law Steve McGill and Karen Baugh (Bill) of Jefferson; nephew Jared Cooper of Poplar Bluff and grandchildren Harper and Cooper Mosley.

He will be remembered for his playful demeanor, entertaining conversations, and the unique impression he left on all who knew him. Ronnie's legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will carry his memory forward.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the exceptional staff at CAVHS for the care and compassion shown to Ronnie. Words will never be enough to express our gratitude to those who went above and beyond to comfort him as well as the family during his hospitalization.
