Ronald Porter, affectionately known as Ronnie, passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on February 6, 1960, in Castleberry, Alabama, Ronnie spent his later years in Detroit, Michigan, where he became a beloved member of the community.

Ronnie was known for his outgoing personality and infectious sense of humor, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met. He cherished time spent with friends and family, often gathering on his porch during the summer to enjoy good food, laughter, and the company of loved ones. Barbecue was his favorite meal, often shared with those he held dear.

An avid football fan, Ronnie also found joy in playing cards and fishing, pursuits that allowed him to connect with friends and create lasting memories. He is survived by his loving family, including his sister, Elizabeth Ikner, his niece, Sharda Ikner and brother Rick Porter Ikner, who will carry his spirit with them.

Ronald Porter will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
