Ronald "Ronnie" Nathan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on July 25, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, and resided most recently in Indio, California.
Ronnie had a deep love for baseball, both as a player and an umpire. It was a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. When he wasn't on the field, he enjoyed spending time with his family, who meant the world to him. Ronnie was married to his loving wife, Judy, for 56 years, and their bond was a source of strength and joy for both of them.
Ronnie and Judy were blessed with two children, Darin and Lisa, who brought immeasurable happiness to their lives. Ronnie adored his three grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them.
Known for his straightforward nature, Ronnie was never afraid to speak his mind. He knew what he wanted and wasn't shy about expressing his thoughts. He had a natural talent for coaching and loved helping others develop their skills on and off the field.
In his free time, Ronnie could often be found on the golf course, his favorite place in the world. He enjoyed the peacefulness and challenges that the sport offered.
Ronnie leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a vibrant spirit that touched the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Judy, son Darin, daughter Lisa, sister Dore, brothers Denis and Larry, as well as his grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Ronnie's life and the impact he had on the lives of others. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a local youth baseball organization in Ronnie's honor.
We'll plant real trees for you in Ronald's memory and display your contribution forever.
