Ron loved nothing more than being with his grandchildren - taking them to a park, out on his boat, reading them books and mostly watching them playing soccer or going to dance competitions.

Ron was Google before there was Google. He could answer any question that was thrown at him - about anything.
Ron married Judy in 1981 and will be lovingly remembered by her.
Ronald Lee Stafford, age 79, of Excelsior, MN, passed away on May 12, 2024. He was born on November 3, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH, to Linville Stafford and Betty Mae Miller.
Ron, also known as Ron to his loved ones, had a fulfilling career as a chemical engineer at HB Fuller. He dedicated his entire professional life to the company and retired at the age of 59. Ron's intelligence and knowledge were admired by all who knew him, earning him the nickname "Google before there was Google" for his ability to answer any question thrown at him.
Outside of work, Ron had a deep love for his family and cherished spending time with them. He especially adored his grandchildren and enjoyed taking them to parks, reading them books, and watching them play soccer or participate in dance competitions. Ron's favorite hobbies included golfing, fishing, and boating, as he found solace and joy in being on the water.
Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judith Stafford, whom he married in 1981. He is also survived by his children, Mike Stafford, Eric (Sharla) Stafford, and Rachel (Scott) Blackburn, as well as his stepchildren, Lisa Lewis, Derek (Melissa) McNeil, and Matt (Lisa) McNeil. Ron leaves behind a legacy of 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the nurses and staff at Trouvaille and Grace Hospice for treating Ron and his loved ones with care and compassion, becoming like family to them during his illness.

Ronald's life was marked by his resilience and determination as he fought Parkinson's disease with grit and grace until the very end. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation will be on May 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral follows at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served immediately after the service.
