Keith, as he was affectionately known, was the son of Josephine (Joann) and Richard Lee Gillespie. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, whom he married in 2018. Keith cherished his family, which included his children: Micheal Carlson, Arthur Gillespie, Ronald (Ronnie) Gillespie, Hannah Shepherd, and Gracie Gillespie. He was also a proud grandfather to Caryn Thompson, Madison Gillespie, Conner Gillespie, Matthew Carlson, Scout Shepherd, and Rosie Shepherd.

He is remembered fondly by his siblings Michael Gillespie, and Linda Castillo, along with his mother, Josephine Gillespie.
