Here lies my beloved dreads,
Born of patience, nurtured with care,
Weaving a tapestry of stories and soul,
They clung to my crown for years—
A crown of knots, twists, and memories.
They weathered sun and rain,
Whispered freedom in every sway,
Echoed laughter from festival fields,
And held secrets of midnight talks.
They sheltered my thoughts in gentle coils,
Held pieces of me I scarcely knew,
A testament to growth—inside and out—
Roots entwined with spirit and style.
Though scissors claimed them today,
And shed them from my head in loyal rows,
Their spirit lives on in every strand,
A legacy of strength and self-expression.
Farewell, dear dreads:
May your echoes linger in my heart,
As I step forward, lighter, renewed—
Grateful for the journey we shared.
We'll plant real trees for you in Romes's memory and display your contribution forever.
