Rolando Calso, affectionately known as Dennis, passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on March 22, 1945, in Sumabnit, Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines. Dennis was most recently a resident of San Diego, CA.

Throughout his life, Dennis dedicated himself to his career in the military, leaving a lasting impact through his numerous achievements. He was recognized for his service with 5 Army Commendation Medals, 3 Army Achievement Medals, and 6 Army Good Conduct Medals. Dennis also received the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, 4 Overseas Service Ribbons, the United Nations Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal. His expertise in marksmanship was acknowledged with the award of the Expert Marksmanship Badge, along with an Automatic Rifle Bar.

Dennis was survived by his spouse, Gerce, and his eight children, who were born through different relationships. He cherished the love and joy that his family brought into his life.

In addition to his immediate family, Dennis is mourned by his parents, Catalino F. Calso and Concepcion A. Calso, as well as his siblings and other extended family members.
