Legacy Of Life
Roland Jackson, also known as ‘Rollie Roll” was born March 9th,1963 to the late Norm Jackson Sr. And Lorraine Jackson of Porchester NY. He has entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 16th, 2024.
Roland was Born and raised in Porchester, NY. Shortly after, he migrated to Yonkers, NY, where he finished his primary education and graduated from Gordon High School. In 1981 Roland met Rhonda Green. They would later on, in 1986 welcome one child, his daughter, Rolonda Green.
Always hard working, Roland subsequently settled into his career working at a car dealership. He really enjoyed fixing and detailing cars. Roland also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and loved ones. He would Tell jokes, sing, and even dance, all to see their smiles. While we have lost a beloved father, many have lost a friend, and loved one, who has been a rock to plenty. Roland’s easygoing, trusting, loving ways made him easy to call on and talk too. He was a wonderdul son, dad, brother, and grandfather who always showed up for his loved ones. Roland also had many friends and was a well-loved member of his community. Although dad was one of his greatest roles- he was also a great friend, a coworker, a cousin, uncle, stepfather, and the list goes on.
Roland is survived by his mother Lorraine Jackson, his daughter Rolonda Green, his brothers- Craig Jackson, Norman Jackson, Tyrone Jackson, and sister, Karen Jackson.
Roland was preceded in death by his father Norman Jackson Sr. & sister Andrea (Ondie) Jackson.
Roland leaves behind his daughter Rolonda Green, along with her three children (his grandchildren) Ka’Ryn Lucas, Kamren Lucas, and Kai-Sen Lucas. His step daughter Artya Green along with her son Koran Watson. His bestfriend/brother Greg Hayley, along with a host of nieces, nephews ,and close friends.
Rolands presence, acts of generosity, and no standard of dependability will be missed by all that know him. His friends and family are invited to share happy memories, and celebrate his life in the way he would want to be – as a loving and caring man who Enjoyed life.
