Roger Louis Julianelli
May 31, 1949 – December 28, 2024
Roger Louis Julianelli is survived by his beloved daughters, Lynda (Riley) Pitts, Jessica (Joseph) McNamara, and JoAnna (Alex) Thompson; his cherished grandchildren, Ava, Jacob, and Adam McNamara, and Charleston and Beckham Thompson; and his sister, Joyce Julianelli. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis J. Julianelli and Johanna T. Sammario.
Roger’s lifelong dedication to law enforcement began at the age of 18 when he became a police trainee. He was sworn in as a police officer at 21, starting his career in the 43rd Precinct. His most fulfilling years were spent in the 24th Precinct, working in anti-crime, where his commitment and bravery earned him the rank of Detective, receiving his gold shield in 1975.
He continued his distinguished career in Florida with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, specializing in airport narcotics enforcement. Roger’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found a polygraph business before transitioning to the jewelry industry. In the final chapter of his professional life, he served as Chief Administrative Officer in the health club and fitness industry.
After retiring three years ago, Roger found joy in spending time with friends, neighbors, and family. His greatest happiness came from visiting his beloved grandchildren, who will always remember his warmth, humor, and steadfast love.
Roger’s legacy of service, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
