Before her death in 2018, Roger enjoyed dancing the "jitterbug" and the "cha cha" with his wife of 50 years, along with jogging behind her for 2 to 3 miles each and every morning. Throughout his life, Roger enjoyed pitching horseshoes, playing cribbage, trout fishing, candlepin bowling, and shooting the breeze with his buddies.
Roger started working on the assembly for Sawyer Mills in Dover, NH at 20, and remained with the company through its transition to Davidson Rubber and then Textron Interior Trim, retiring as plant superintendent after 35 years, without a single sick day.
Roger loved long winters in Port Charlotte, Florida, where he became a resident with Beverly after retiring, and warm weather only on Balch Pond in New Hampshire. Roger retired from work and shoveling snow simultaneously.
Roger Alfred LePage, Sr., 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully, with family near, on September 22, 2024, at Apple Blossom Senior Living, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born on August 4, 1938, in Rollinsford, New Hampshire, he was the son of Alfred LePage and Mary Bisson.
Known for his fierce work ethic and unwavering loyalty, Roger began his career at Sawyer Mills in Dover at the age of 18, and continued with the company through its transitions to Davidson Rubber and then Textron Interior Trim, ultimately retiring as plant superintendent after 35 years of service, having never taken a sick day. His commitment to his work was rivaled only by his devotion to his family.
In his personal life, Roger was known for his good humor and constant busyness with his own projects and lending a hand to others. He cherished the years spent jitterbugging and cha-cha-ing with his beloved wife, Beverly LePage, whom he married for 50 years before her passing in 2018. Together, they jogged or walked every morning, a testament to their shared passion for health and each other's companionship.
For fun, Roger loved pitching horseshoes, playing cribbage and 7 card stud poker, trout fishing, and candlepin bowling. What he enjoyed most of all was to shoot the 'breeze' with his buddies.
Roger is survived by his children, Sheri (Dan) Dumais of Strafford, NH; sons Don of Dover, NH; Jeff of Exeter, NH; and Roger, Jr., and granddaughters, "Pepe's girls," Ysa and Audrey, of Pittsburgh, PA. He also leaves behind his grandson, Jason Sprague, and great-granddaughter, Lilly, of Barrington, NH.
Roger was predeceased by his wife Beverly and his sister Carole Marcotte.
Roger’s warmth, humor, and boundless energy will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through his family, the countless lives he touched, and those he helped out simply because they needed it.
This will be a celebration of the lives of both Roger and Beverly LePage, Summer of 2025
