Robin Kevin Williams was born on May, 20th 1963 to the union of Rev. Robert L. Williams Sr. and Gladys Williams in Chicago, Illinois.
Robin attended Harlan High School and then worked for the Chicago Park District for 10 years. He then worked at Soldier Field, The United Center, and had a long career as a truck driver.
In 1986, Robin met his wife Debra Davis at the Copperbox Night Club in Chicago, IL. They went on to have four children Robin, Carise, Joshua, and Dominique.
Robin also had a passion for entertainment and music. Robin had the opportunity to work alongside many celebrities in his younger adult years as well as working part time on the stages at concerts for BET. Robin loved to tell his stories about how he worked with Bernie Mac and how Michael Jordan would give him his workout gear after practice when he worked at the United Center.
Robin was the most charismatic and hilarious person you will ever meet. Some know him as Big Rob, Tall Moon, or Rob O’ Valley. He demanded attention walking into any room. He was cool, he was fly, he knew everyone, and he could dress! He was larger than life. One of his passions was dancing. Rob O’ Valley was one of the coldest steppers in Chicago! He also loved karaoke, comedy, a good meal, and playing his lottery tickets.
Most importantly, Robin loved God. He accepted Jesus into his life and made sure he told everyone how good God is. He called himself a “Gangsta for God”.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Robert L. Williams Sr, his mother Gladys Williams, his step mother Alice Williams “Mama Alice”, his brother Maurice Williams, his brother Robert Williams Jr, his brother Roderick “Rod” Williams, and his sister Linda Williams Suggs.
Robin loved his family and his life will be remembered and celebrated by: his wife Debra Williams, his children Robin Williams (Jericha), Carise Harper (Tim), Joshua Williams and Dominique Williams. His grandchildren: Karina, Kamille and Robin III
His beloved siblings: Athenia “Debbie” Deans (Richard Deanes), Shirley Walls (Frank Walls), Cassandra Williams, Karen Williams, David Williams, Tom “Tommy Williams”, Valla Williams, Travis Williams, Tellis Williams (Rosie Williams), Carolyn Shack (Stanley Shack), Delores Cole, Harvestine “Steny” Turner (Gerald Turner), and Allexis “Al” Dodds (Evelyn Dodds).
