Robert W. Josephson Sr., known affectionately as Bob, passed away on November 4, 2024, on his 63rd birthday in Columbia, SC. Born on November 4, 1961, at Andrew's Airforce Base and raised Uniontown, PA, Bob lived a life dedicated to service and family.
A proud retired member of the Air Force, Bob’s commitment to his country was matched only by his passion for capturing life’s moments through photography. He traveled the world, finding joy in the beauty of diverse landscapes and cultures. His favorite motto, "Don't worry about the past, it's gone. Do what you can today. Don't worry about the future; it hasn't come yet," reflected his optimistic outlook on life.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Deidre Josephson, and their children: Robert W. Josephson Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Hannah Josephson and her husband Matt Pelrine, who welcomed a son, Theodore, and Holly Josephson. He was also cherished by his father, Arthur D. Josephson and step mother Diane, and his sisters: Carla Josephson and her husband David Skala, Tammy Josephson and her husband Larry Arone, Sarah Josephson and her husband Christopher Shorette, and Amanda Josephson and her husband Ryan McLimore.
Bob’s legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
